Chairman Judicial Activism Panel (JAP) Muhammad Azhar Siddique Advocate has dispatched a notice to the heads of the departments concerned of the construction of proposed Purple Line Metro Train in Lahore. The notice has demanded the concerned departments of disclosing the details of the project. It further pointed out that the Punjab government would waste Rs 200 billion besides polluting the city which is already flooded with dust due to the Orange Line Train Project and causing diseases to the citizens.

The notice expressed concern that the Purple Line Metro Train Project would add to the smog as and when the Punjab government initiates it. It has further warned of challenging the project to the higher court in case the departments failed to provide details within in the prescribed time limit.
